Just The 2 Together!

On their actual anniversary- June 15th, Nathan and Barbara decided to celebrate just among themselves, knowing that the celebration with family was about a month away. They spent several days living first-class, receiving all the special treatment they deserved.
They decided to drive the 3 hour cruise to Charlotte, NC and reserved a hotel at the Marriot. They walked around Downtown, and enjoyed the elaborate dining and entertainment while there. When the Marriot learned that this was not an ordinary weekend out, they upgraded Nathan and Barbara to the Presidential Suite (no charge). 50 years is highly remarkable.
Below is a picture of part of their suite. Now we all need to enjoy 50 years with our spouse and rush over to the Marriot.

And of course, there had to be a snazzy ride. They made sure to have the best of the best for themselves- or at least as much of it as possible. They rented this hot car for an entire week, allowing them to ride around Charlotte, Wilmington, Cary, and Raleigh in STYLE!

Now can't we just keep it one more day? month? YEAR????

I want to give a special shout-out from Nathan and Barbara to all the wonderful family and friends who took time of their own to show their love and congratulations to them. Both Nathan and Barbara were able to witness how many people truly do care, love, pray, and admire them. Below is most of the thoughtful cards and letters received by them throughout their anniversary month. Thanks for all the sweet words, phone calls, emails, blog comments, etc!!!
